'I'll consider myself useless': Gulbadin Naib on choosing between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma for a last-over chase

The hard-hitting all-rounder has amassed 376 runs from 11 matches and picked up 11 wickets, playing a crucial role in helping the Capitals reach the final for the second consecutive year. During an interview, the 33-year-old was put on the spot when asked to choose between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as his batting partner in a scenario where the team needed 16 runs in the last over.

Without hesitation, Naib chose Kohli. The star cricketer praised the former India captain's talent and said that he would look to try and keep the 'chase-master' on strike as much as possible. He also added that there is a lot to learn from Kohli.

"I'll go with Virat Kohli. It is because of his talent. Even talking about his talent, I'll consider myself useless. Because the kind of player he is, the human being he is, according to me, Virat Kohli is one of the top players in the world right now," Naib said in Hindi, according to Sports Yaari.

"I will consider myself lucky to be able to chase 16 runs with Virat bhai. I will try to give him strike as much as I can because you can learn a lot by watching him," he added.
