IND vs AUS 5th Test: Rishabh Pant¡¯s sixes show in Sydney ends, but fans can't get enough of the 'madness'
Rishabh Pant¡¯s explosive 61 off 33 balls came to an end in the 5th Test against Australia, with Pat Cummins dismissing him. Fans praised his daring knock, which included 6 fours and 4 sixes, as India leads by 133 runs.
After losing Virat Kohli, everyone expected the next batter to play cautiously against Australia, especially after India lost their top four early. However, Rishabh Pant is a different breed, as he started his innings with a six on Day 2 of the fifth and final Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
He ensured that no Australian bowler at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) could settle against him. However, his "madness," as fans called it, was brought to an end by Pat Cummins. In the 22.2 over, the fun ended as Pant's sensational knock was halted.
Rishabh Pant's dismissal
It was a wide-length delivery, and Pant threw his hands at it with no foot movement, resulting in an edge. Cummins was overjoyed, knowing how big a strike this was.
The wicketkeeper-batter was the top scorer in the 1st innings (40 off 98), and in the 2nd innings, he scored 61 off 33. In the 2nd innings, he also got his half-century in just 29 balls - making it the 2nd fastest 50 for an Indian in Tests.

Fan reaction
Pant scored a brisk 61, and India would have loved to see him add more. He too was gutted as he walked back after playing one of the most outrageous knocks at this historic venue. Pant, who smashed 6 fours and 4 sixes, was praised by fans on X (formerly known as Twitter) for his gutsy performance.
