As net sessions are underway, several players will be aiming to achieve individual records and among them is Virat Kohli, who has a golden opportunity to reach multiple personal milestones during this series.

Fastest to 14,000 ODI runs

Virat Kohli is just 94 runs away from surpassing Sachin Tendulkar's all-time ODI record. If he scores those runs in the upcoming series, he will reach the 14,000-run milestone, becoming the fastest player to achieve this feat and breaking Tendulkar's record. The 'Master Blaster' reached this landmark in his 350th ODI innings during a match against Pakistan in Peshawar (February 2006), where he scored a century, though India lost by 7 runs (DLS method).

Kohli, however, has already accumulated 13,906 runs in just 283 innings, with an average of 58.18, a strike rate of 93.54, and 50 centuries and 72 half-centuries to his name.

2nd-highest run-scorer in ODIs

Kohli is on the verge of another historic milestone¡ªbecoming the second-highest run-scorer in ODI history. He needs just 329 more runs to surpass Sri Lanka legend Kumar Sangakkara (14,234 runs) and climb to 2nd place on the all-time list, with Sachin Tendulkar (18,426 runs) still leading the chart.

Most 50+ scores at home in ODIs

Kohli has been dominant in ODIs, especially at home. Is he smashes just two more 50+ scores, he will be setting a new record for the most fifty-plus scores in home ODIs. Currently, Sachin Tendulkar holds the record with 58 (38 fifties and 20 centuries), while Kohli sits at 57 (33 fifties and 24 centuries).

Highest run-scorer against England in ODIs

Kohli has a strong record against England, having scored 1,340 runs in 36 innings at an average of 41.87. He needs just 293 more runs to surpass Chris Gayle and become the highest run-scorer against England in ODIs. If he achieves this milestone, Kohli will further solidify his reputation as England's biggest ODI nemesis.
