It's time for the skipper to retire? Fans unhappy with Rohit Sharma's batting and captaincy in Australia
Rohit Sharma faces criticism for poor form and leadership after low scores in the IND vs AUS series, alongside Kohli and others. KL Rahul shone with 84 at the Gabba, while Jadeja and Reddy fight to stabilize India's innings.
While Virat Kohli is under scrutiny for his batting performances¡ªdespite a century in Perth¡ªanother player facing criticism is captain Rohit Sharma. The Indian skipper, who missed the first Test, has struggled with the bat in the ongoing series. In the second Test, Rohit scored just 3 off 23 and 6 off 15. At The Gabba in the third Test, his woes continued as he managed only 10 off 27 deliveries.

Rohit's leadership has also been heavily criticized following India's heavy defeat in the pink-ball Test in Adelaide last week and the team's underwhelming performance in Brisbane so far. Amid talks of Kohli retiring, fans are now calling for Rohit to step down and make way for younger players in the team.
Rohit Sharma is someone who can't play without captaincy, because he knows once he leave the Captaincy he can't find a place in the team based on his performance. He is destroying team India with his selfish moves. pic.twitter.com/Dgbp04Lihy

The most unfair thing is Pujara gets dropped but Rohit Sharma and Kohli don't.

Rohit Sharma's last 13 Test innings: Average of 11.69. Even Gavaskar can't defend this now.

Don't you think Rohit Sharma should give himself some time and let Jadeja Bat at 5, Bring Ash/Sundar and Bumrah be the captain.#AskStar

IND vs AUS 3rd Test update:
While big names like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and Yashasvi Jaiswal struggled, KL Rahul showcased how to tackle the tricky Gabba surface. Rahul anchored the innings with a gritty 84 off 139 balls, despite receiving little support from the other end.
Currently, Ravindra Jadeja is at the crease, having reached his half-century, with Nitish Kumar Reddy providing support. After 51.5 overs, the Men in Blue scored 180 runs and have lost 6 wickets, trailing by 265 runs. Rain is playing a spoilsport, and interrupting the game making it the 7th or 8th rain stoppage during the course of Team India's batting.
