History On Independence Day: Gold Win For Indian Cyclists At World Junior Track Championships
What a proud moment.
It was a day to remember for Indian cyclists' men's team comprising of Esow Alben, Ronaldo Singh, James Singh and Rojit Singh, as they clinched a historic Team Sprint gold medal at the World Junior Track Cycling Championships in Germany.

The Indian team defeated Australia in the final, clocking 44.681 second to claim the top honours.

India didn¡¯t have a good start as they were trailing after the first lap by .244 second. Making a solid comeback, the Indian cyclists reduced the gap to 0.030 seconds in Round 2 and then produced a spectacular effort in the third round to write a page of their own in the history books.
