Ravindra Jadeja was adjudged Man of the Match for his 90 and 4 wickets in the game.

Chasing a paltry 103-run target on the fourth day at the PCA Stadium, India romped home in the 21st over thanks to a rollicking 54-ball unbeaten 67 by wicketkeeper batsman Parthiv Patel, who made a return into the Test side after eight years.
The win ensures India extend their unbeaten streak at home to 17 matches and their overall unbeaten Test run to 16 matches.
Skipper Virat Kohli (6) was alongside Parthiv who hit the winning runs as India finished the match early in the final session of play. It was quite easily Parthiv's afternoon as he smashed 11 fours and one six. It was Parthiv's second highest score in Test matches. The left-hander was merciless on anything that was short, wide and drifting on his pads. He cut, pulled and drove in style to hasten India's victory march.

Murali Vijay was dismissed for 0 by Chris Woakes in the second over after which Pujara (25) added 71 runs for the second wicket with Parthiv before falling to Adil Rashid.
England had been bundled out for 236 in the second innings with Joe Root (76) and Haseeb Hameed (59 not out) getting among the runs. Ravichandran Ashwin took three wickets while other spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Jayant Yadav struck twice in the second innings that got over in the second session today. Pacer Mohammed Shami took wickets in three balls before Hameed struck a 41-run frustrating final wicket stand with James Anderson.
