Indian Batsman Prolu Ravindra Tears Into Record Books, Makes 29-Ball Century In A Karnataka Tournament Game

Prolu Ravindra idolises Virender Sehwag and he's done exactly what his idol would be proud of - smash a swashbuckling 29-ball century during a tournament organised by the Karnataka State Cricket Association. Soon after the knock, in a respectful, moving gesture, Ravindra dedicated his knock to Sehwag.
Ravindra smashed 144 off just 58 deliveries and his knock comprised 13 sixes and four boundaries. The match took place in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bangalore, where he played for the City Gymkhana against Jaidur Club.
Thanks to his blazing century, City Gymkhana managed to set a towering target of 403 runs to their opponents. It was a 50-over game, where the Jaidur club succumbed to 229 runs and lost by a huge margin.
Ravindra belongs to Andhra Pradesh and had gone to Karnataka to play cricket. Although a fourth division player in the state, Ravindra doesn't worry before weaving dreams. He wants to take part in the Indian Premier League and help his parents with money. In an interview, he said, "I'm aiming for a home in the IPL and helping parents.¡±
The Gymkhana Club officials have great things to say about Ravindra. The club's assistant secretary, Dilip Narayan, said, "After joining Bangalore, Coach BA Rajir trained Ravindra, who joined Karnataka Youth Cricket Academy. When playing in the corporate cricket tournament, he is now playing explosive innings for our team, combining an offensive game. In a recent tournament in Andhra Pradesh, Ravindra scored 130 runs from 63 balls, 105 runs from 45 balls and 55 runs in 18 balls.¡±
At the international level, AB de Villiers holds the record of scoring the fastest century. He did that in a match against West Indies. He scored his century in just 31 balls.
