Among those waiting to receive the team was Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, who personally met the players and handed them bouquets. Special attention was given to Virat Kohli, who was presented with the RCB team flag and the Kannada flag, both of which he received with a smile and posed for photos.

On his way to the airport, the Deputy CM was also seen enthusiastically waving the RCB flag from his car.

RCB clinches Maiden IPL title against Punjab Kings
RCB¡¯s historic title win came against Punjab Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The team, captained by Rajat Patidar, defeated the Shreyas Iyer-led Punjab side by six runs. Virat Kohli top-scored for RCB with a knock of 43 off 35 balls, helping his team post 190/9. Krunal Pandya¡¯s spell of 2 for 17 in four overs played a key role in restricting Punjab Kings to 184/7. Victory parade cancelled, security measures in place
Plans for an open-top bus parade through Bengaluru were cancelled due to security concerns, according to Bengaluru Traffic Police. Initially, RCB¡¯s victory celebration was set to begin from Vidhana Soudha and conclude at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium with a felicitation event. However, Home Minister G. Parameshwara confirmed that no open vehicle will be used and instead, players will travel by bus. The Karnataka State Cricket Association will conduct a felicitation programme at the stadium.

The players will first gather at Vidhana Soudha, where Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM Shivakumar will formally congratulate them. Two team members are expected to speak at the event. Once the ceremony concludes, the team will proceed to the Chinnaswamy Stadium by bus. Officials clarified that no additional public events are planned beyond this scheduled felicitation.
