It was reported that the decision was Messi's to train separately and hence he missed the lecture from coach Luis Enrique that the team received.
This does lead to speculation that the relationship between Messi and Enrique may be further strained and the Argentine star may move to Manchester City once again to play under Pep Guardiola.
