Cristiano Ronaldo insists he deserves to finish with more Ballon d¡¯Ors than Lionel Messi. Ronaldo wants to also establish himself as the greatest.
He, has won the the trophy for best player 5 times which is the same as Messi, but wants more as his career nears its end.
¡°Messi¡¯s in the history of football,¡± Ronaldo told broadcaster Piers Morgan in an interview with Britain¡¯s ITV .
¡°But I think I have to have six or seven or eight to be above him,¡± he said,
¡°I¡¯d love it, I think I deserve it,¡± he added.
He admitted that they are not friends but Messi has pushed him to be a better player.
