Former Ukrainian tennis player Sergiy Stakhovsky has brought to light Novak Djokovic¡¯s offer of help after the Russian invasion, as per Metro.
The 36-year-old retired from tennis in January and has left his wife and children in Hungary to fight in Kyiv.
Having joined Ukraine¡¯s reserve forces, Stakhovsky revealed that Djokovic had offered his assistance, but claimed both Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal did not reply to his message.
"I also tried to contact Federer and Nadal but without success," he said.
"I am sorry that you prefer to remain silent, although I understand them. It¡¯s not their war," he added.
