The 31-year-old believes he has a long way to go before he came close to Sachin's record.
Cook became the first English player to score 10,000 runs and also the youngest to achieve the feat in Tests. In doing so he beat Sachin by 5 months in terms of age.
The opener has 28 Test tons while Sachin amassed 51 from 1989 to 2013.

So whether or not Cook gets close or breaks the record or not, the man himself is not thinking about it too much. He is just enjoying the game and doing what he does best, scoring runs for England.
