The Olympics are meant to bring nations together. USA's Abbey D'Agostino showed just that when she gave up a race to help an opponent who had tripped.

New ZealandĄ¯s Nikki Hamblin fell during the 5,000m heats and accidentally tripped up D'Agsotino. The latter was up but chose not to continue running and helped Hamblin up.

The 24-year-old D'Agostino seemed to have twisted her knee due to the collision and could only limp over the finish line.
They hugged each other at the end of the race and Hamblin ws thankful that they were able to finish the race.
