This Cricket Club From Brisbane Declared With Just 14 Runs Scored And It Cost Them 12 Points!
It was deemed against the spirit of the game.
When a side declares an innings you expect the score to be pretty high. But what if it wss 14 runs? No, we are not kidding, Northern Suburbs from Brisbane did just that.
Norths ended their innings on 14/1 in reply to University of Queensland's 675. Their aim was to manipulate the final standings. They wanted to avoid playing University in the finals by gifting them first-innings points.
The committee ruled that Norths' actions were not in the right spirit. They have been docked 12 points for the start of next summer¡¯s competition as a result. Also the club is ineligible to host a semifinal or final of Brisbane club cricket¡¯s top tier next season.

Next time it's best just to go out and give it your all instead of trying to manipulate the system.
