With A Whopping 118 Medals Including 58 Gold, India Are On Top Of The Table At The South Asian Games
Indian athletes raised their game to the top level and the 100-medal mark was broken by with an astounding 50 medals on Day 4 of the South Asian Games. As a result they are on top of the table. India now has 58 gold, 41 silver and 19 bronze for a total of 118 medals.

Nepal follows at second place with 36 gold, 26 silver and 34 bronze for a total of 96, while Sri Lanka (16 gold, 31 silver, 52 bronze) take third spot.
Most of them came from swimming, wushu, weightlifting and athletics. The gold medals came from mainly from wushu as 7 came from the sport.

O Bidyapati Chanu settled for bronze in the women¡¯s sansou 56kg category.

4 gold medals came to India in weightlifting. Jhilli Dalabehera clinched the yellow metal in women¡¯s under 45 kg category.
In the women¡¯s under 49kg event, Sneha Soren triumphed.
Sorokhaibam Bindyarani Devi was the victor in the women's 55kg category.
Siddhant Gogoi also took home gold in the men¡¯s 61 kg category.
Taekwondo players gave us six medals - 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze.
Purva Dattary Dixit (women¡¯s 49kg), Ruchika Bhave (women¡¯s 67kg) and Margaret Maria (women¡¯s 73kg) were the victors while Niraj Choudhary (men¡¯s 58kg) and Akshay Hooda (men¡¯s 87kg) settled for silver. Lakshya won bronze in men¡¯s 80kg category.
Track and field also saw six medals that included one gold.
Karthik Unnikrishnan was the only gold medallist in triple jump. Mohammed Salahuddin managed silver.
Surender Jayakumar (men¡¯s 110m hurdles), Aparna Roy (women¡¯s 100m hurdles) and Priya Habbathanahally (women¡¯s 400m) each won a silver and KS Jeevan (men¡¯s 400m) finished with a bronze.
