The War Riders had their first successful defence of their World Tag Team Championships on Raw. Erik and Ivar put their tag team belts on the line against "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw on 27 January.
Despite the interference of Carlito, who pulled Erik off the apron and spat an apple in Ivar's face, which allowed Mysterio to send Ivar into the ropes and hit the 6-1-9, the War Riders managed to overcome the challenge.

The War Riders picked up the win by hitting the War Machine on Mysterio to retain their tag team championship, which they won in December.

McDonagh was quickly checked by medical personnel and continued the match. While he managed to walk to the backstage area, shortly after, he collapsed.
Dominik Mysterio was seen expressing concern as medical personnel attended to McDonagh.
Amid reports of McDonagh suffering an injury, Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp reported that "we were told Triple H asked a number of times if he was okay, and he got checked," adding that "Michael Hayes asked if the desk was okay."
