A Thread: Here's what happened to us and why products often don¡¯t get delivered if you're exchanging a phone@OnePlus_IN @amazonIN pic.twitter.com/nsACFvg5kw
An X user alerted the world's top e-commerce site, Amazon, to a mobile exchange scam. Amazon SCAM of 2025: Why You Shouldn't Exchange Your Phone on Amazon was the topic of a post on X by the user (@_techibee). Instead of visiting the official stores and websites to exchange the OnePlus 10 Pro, he said in the thread that he purchased the OnePlus 13 via Amazon to have it delivered the same day, saving INR 21,000.
Amazon informed him that the delivery agent attempted to reach him but was unable. The merchandise was scheduled for delivery on January 10, 2025. The user reported that the same issue occurred on the second day, even after calling the customer, and the company once more advised waiting a whole day. The user claimed that Amazon delivery workers are not taught to evaluate the quality of phones when picked up and that the cost of repairs would be subtracted from their pay if the phone had problems.
