It's easy to say embarrassing things in messenger apps, whether that's a bad grammatical error or sending a message to the wrong person. WhatsApp already allows you to erase these kinds of errors after you've sent them, and now Facebook will too.
Facebook Messenger yesterday announced a new feature it was bringing to its app. It'll allow you to "remove a message from a chat thread after it's been sent". Unfortunately, the tool will only let you correct a mistake within 10 minutes of sending the chat, after which it remains engraved in history.
Twitter user @MattNavarra spotted that the announcement in release notes for the 191.0 update of Messenger's iOS client. It's a little strange that the app only intends to allow 10 minutes to "unsend", whereas Facebook-owned WhatsApp give you an hour. Perhaps it's simply because Messenger is feeling the waters and will eventually widen that time window.

Unfortunately, no word yet on when that feature will reach Android clients, but hopefully it won't be too long after iOS.
