India is soon to get Apple Intelligence, says Tim Cook: Apple CEO Tim Cook has formally stated that Apple Intelligence, the company's AI-powered suite, will arrive in India in April. This is a huge increase in Apple's artificial intelligence capabilities in the country, as customers previously had access to only a small number of AI tools, such as the Clean Up tool.

During Apple's most recent earnings call, Cook disclosed that the launch will support numerous languages, including a customized version of English designed for Indian users.

With this upgrade, iPhone, iPad, and Mac users in India will soon have access to AI-powered products, including Writing products, Smart Reply, and ChatGPT integration.

Apple sees India as a crucial growth area, with Cook citing record iPhone sales in the December quarter. The iPhone was the best-selling model in India at that time, cementing the country's position as the world's second-largest smartphone market and a critical region for Apple's expansion. Cook revealed that Apple Intelligence will be available in numerous new languages, including French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, as well as Japanese, Korean, and simplified Chinese.

The English version of Apple Intelligence will be available in Singapore and India. The anticipated market expansion will improve Apple's artificial intelligence capabilities and service quality in these locations.

The iPhone maintained its position as the number one smartphone in major global countries ranging from the United States to China and India, as well as the United Kingdom, France, Australia, and Japan. During the December quarter, Apple scored its best sales ever in India, the world's second-largest smartphone market.

• Go to Settings > General > Language and Region.
• Choose English (US) or any supported language as the primary device language.

Once updated, the device will identify and support Apple Intelligence capabilities. Apple Intelligence will soon be available in India, providing customers with a more advanced and intuitive AI experience across Apple devices, increasing productivity and communication.
