Online And Offline Bundled Model Will Continue
Two of the major issues that India faces when it comes to EduTech are access to technology and the skewed student-teacher ratio. India has around 1.5 million schools from levels K-12 (kindergarten to Grade 12), with a student base of 253 million. In an independent study done by the Azim Premji Foundation of 1,887 schools in Karnataka, classrooms with a Pupil-to-Teacher (PTR) ratio between 15 and 20 showed the best learning levels, while performance dropped sharply as PTR increased.
Now, PTR at the national level for elementary schools is 24:1, while it's 27:1 in secondary schools. Along with that inaccessibility to equal internet connectivity is one of the major issues students face. Due to these challenges the online and offline bundled model will keep breathing life into the EduTech market.

Gamification of Education
When learning becomes a taxing procedure, it hampers the quality of student¡¯s attention and education. Learning is never a one-size-fits-all solution, which is why gamification of education is going to grow massively.
Engagement with students is one of the major crux points of any classroom and games are one of the biggest engagement contributors. Children these days are among the most tech-savvy people precisely because they have been playing games on a range of devices for nearly their entire lives. With gamification, there is personalised messaging, where the students can be engaged on a personal level.
Along with that the learning is continuous, where students fail, overcome, and persevere. It¡¯s methodology of instant feedback and rewards are external motivators that do the job. It¡¯s also highly interactive and effective, which is why it is predicted to be one of the biggest trends in the Edutech world in 2019!

Immersive Learning Continues To Grow
Technology is one of the major pillars on which the EduTech world leans on when it comes to evolving to the next level. Immersive technology will be more easily available across the market, which will give a boost to immersive learning.
With the advent of better internet service providers and internet speed, means better access for more communities. The researchers at Gartner predict that by 2022, 70% of enterprises will be experimenting with immersive technologies in some way. That will affect the EduTech sector in the process, allowing its audience to benefit from the same.

Imagine a student slicing a plant mid-air with a stylus in biology class. Sounds crazy? Welcome to the world of augmented and virtual reality systems. In 2019, more schools will start using interactive displays and other audio and tactile technologies to get students more engaged with science, technology, engineering, math and other subjects.
Experts believe that technologies that offer immersive, audio-visual and tactile experiences are the future. Educators are also investigating connected classrooms and modern learning environments as the latest innovation in teaching, and Gartner analysts agree that smart spaces will be a major focus for 2019.
Combined with other emerging tech such AI and the empowered edge, the future of the connected classrooms are guaranteed.

Short Term Courses Rule The Roost
At a time where people are looking to squeeze the maximum amount of juice out of their existing skills, short term courses in the world of EduTech are going to see a huge boost. They are low in terms of investment of time and money plus it adds a new proficiency to the student¡¯s skill-set.
Short term courses also allow the student to dabble in multiple training and learning courses that suit their existing profession, in a short amount of time.
