Vodafone Is Taking On Airtel And Jio, By Launching Its Own 4G Smartphone At Rs 1,590

Vodafone has decided it want sot join the fray versus Reliance Jio and Airtel, and is now offering a budget 4G smartphone, with attached data plans.
The company announced it¡¯s partnered with China-based Itel Mobile to launch the Itel A20 in India at a price of Rs 3,690. However, after a three year period with the same network and handset, users can avail a cashback of Rs 2,200 taking the actual price to effectively Rs 1,590.
Similar to a plan previously offered by Vodafone in partnership with Micromax, users who buy the Itel A20 will have to purchase a minimum of Rs 150 in recharges every month for 36 months. This can either be multiple recharges amounting the total, or a single purchase. At the end of 18 months, you¡¯ll then receive a cashback of Rs 900, and another of Rs 1,200 after the entire three-year deadline has passed. Cashbacks will be paid through Vodafone¡¯s M-Pesa wallet app.
The Itel A20 has a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage (expandable up to 32GB). It features a 4-inch WVGA (480x800) display with a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front cam. It has dual Micro SIM support, is powered by a 1700mAh battery and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.
The smartphone offer is already available for Vodafone subscribers, and will end March 31, 2018. It¡¯s available in Champagne Gold, Dark Blue, and Silver colour variants.
