EA Will Honour Rs 4.80 Glitch Pricing For Upcoming FIFA 23 Preorders
The glitch surfaced last month, right after EA Sports showcased the first official trailer for FIFA 23.
FIFA 23 buyers who were able to prebook the title for Rs 4.80 due to an error on the Epic Games Store will get to keep the game, as per a recent report by Gadgets360.
The glitch surfaced last month, right after EA Sports showcased the first official trailer for FIFA 23. The Indian version of Epic Games Store at the time made an error at the pricing with the decimal not being at the right place. Instead of the preorder price of Rs 4,799, it became 4.80.
Fans of the game who preordered their game before anyone else managed to get the game at the Rs 4.80 price tag, and many showed off their luck on social media. Many even tried to snag the deal by changing their region to India and burying the game at that unbelievable price.

But there was a concern that the publisher might not honour this, and eventually ask players to either give up the game or pay the remaining amount to claim the game on the online store. However, customers online recently shared screenshots where EA sports has apologised for this blunder and that they get to keep the game copy.
EA Honours blunder FIFA 23 pricing
The email stated, ¡°A few weeks back, we scored a pretty spectacular own-goal when we inadvertently offered FIFA 23 pre-purchase on the Epic Games Store at an incorrect price. It was our mistake, and we wanted to let you know that we'll be honouring all pre-purchases made at that price.¡±
To the unaware, FIFA 23 Ultimate edition preorder allows three-day early access to the game, starting September 27 and offers a bunch of in-game rewards including 4,600 FIFA points to spend on their Ultimate Team, an FUT Ones to Watch player item, a Team of the Week 1 Player as well as cover star Kylian Mbappe on loan for 5 matches.
The game is officially out on September 30 on PC, PS5, Xbox One as well as Xbox Series S/X. For Nintendo Switch players, they can enjoy the FIFA 23 Legacy Edition.
