AI-Generated Images Of Donald Trump Being Arrested Are Eerily Realistic
This potential arrest is about Trump falsifying his business records, including "hush money" that was allegedly paid to adult movie sensation, Stormy Daniels.
Artificial intelligence has been having a grand year, from ChatGPT's impressive capabilities to the scope of art-generating tools like DALL-E. Recent images generated by AI show former United States President Donald Trump being arrested by authorities, and the images look freakishly convincing - suggesting the scope and danger of such technology at the same time.
Why Donald Trump could be arrested
Donald Trump, the outspoken hotelier-turned-president, wrote on his social media site Truth Social on March 19, 2023 that he was going to be arrested "on Tuesday of next week," while highlighting that the "Manhattan district attorney's office" wasn't able to prove any crime.
He urged his followers to "protest, take our nation back" at the end of his statement. This is the same kind of rhetoric that led to an insurrection attempt on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.

It's unclear what's on the cards for the controversial former US president, but we should find soon. Tuesday has passed us by, and Trump is still a free man, but that hasn't stopped people from imagining his arrest via AI tools.

In some images, you can notice the cartoonish textures that point to their artificial nature. But some images are simply too realistic and capture Donald Trump's persona quite effectively. Some users actually thought that the images were real. A user suggested using watermarks to highlight that these images were really fake.

We should really be putting watermarks on these that disclose they are AI generated and not real.
