Anonymous Hackers Unleash Cyber War On Russia, Pull Down Govt Websites
The hacker group has also been responsible for hacking US Government websites, CIA among several other high-profile attacks.
Hacker collective popularly known as ¡®Anonymous¡¯ has declared a war against Russia and unleashed a series of attacks on the Russian government as well as Russian news agency RT.

This announcement was made via a series of Tweets from different Twitter handles which were supposedly managed by the collective of the popular cyber-terrorists.

In a series of tweets, Anonymous revealed that it was in a cyberwar against the Russian government and how several Russian government websites were down.

There were other Anonymous hackers who revealed their attacks. One with handle @LiteMods stated, ¡°We are #Anonymous. We have taken down the Kremlin website in support of #OpRussia. Let me know if it comes back up! F**k #Putin. We support the people of #Ukraine. We are legion. We will not forget the lives that have been lost under Putin's regime.¡±

The hacker group had attacked several Russian websites including that of the Duma, the Ministry of Defence, the Kremlin and the news agency RT. Some sites were completely offline while some were still online, however, not running as they normally would.
The hacker group has also been responsible for hacking US Government websites, CIA among several other high-profile attacks.
It is important to note that there is no one official Anonymous Twitter handle, as Anonymous is a decentralised collective. So it's advisable to take their claims (or the claims of their actions) with a grain of salt.
