Apple & Google Maps Don't Show Apple CEO Tim Cook's House: Here's Why

Being at the helm of world's most powerful company comes with its own pressures. Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple Inc, world's best-known smartphone and computer maker doesn't like to show where he lives.
A report by Apple Insider has revealed how Tim Cook's house is distorted or hidden on Apple and Google's maps applications to protect his privacy.
Tim Cook's stalker issues
A few days ago, Tim Cook was granted a restraining order against a woman who was stalking him. The stalker from Virginia had not only broken into Apple CEO Tim Cook's California residence but had also emailed him images of a firearm that was loaded.
Apple told the court that the woman in question "intends to return to [Cook's] residence or locate him otherwise in the near future."

Tim Cook has never attempted to hide his place of residence in Palo Alto, California. However, his address hadn't been known publicly until Apple had to reveal it for court filings.
Apple CEO's residence is still visible on Google Maps and Google Earth if seen from above. If you use the Street View feature, the area surrounding the property will appear blurred out.
Apple too, has blurred out Tim Cook's residence from Apple Maps as well as from its Look Around feature that works like Google's Street View.

Tim Cook is being stalked by a woman who first appeared on Twitter and claimed to be Apple CEO's wife. She also alleged that that Tim Cook is the biological father of her two twins. In a court filing, Apple revealed that the woman had sent 200 emails to Cook that were "threatening and highly disturbing."
