Bill Gates On COVID-19 Vaccine Conspiracy: It's So Stupid And Strange
Bill Gates called the COVID-19 vaccine conspiracy stupid and strange
Bill Gates is leaving no stone unturned to help our world effectively fight COVID-19, through his Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
However, recently, he has been a victim of false and baseless conspiracy theories against him.
People have actively commented negatively on his social media accounts, after some YouTubers have gone ahead and stated that the vaccine funded by Bill Gates will implant tracking microchips in our body, among several other absurd allegations.
And for the longest time, these conspiracy theories have had a field day because of Bill Gates' silence on the issue. But no more.
Bill Gates COVID-19 conspiracy theories
Bill Gates wasn¡¯t oblivious to this but had kept this quiet regarding this, until recently, when he actually decided to speak about it while in a conversation with a bunch of reporters.
Reports reveal that they were actually there ahead of the announcement of the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation¡¯s pledge of another $1.6 billion to the Gavi vaccine alliance that promises to deliver lifesaving vaccines to the poorest parts of the world.
While announcing this, Melinda Gates expressed the importance of vaccination, stating, ¡°If the current pandemic has reminded us of anything. It¡¯s the importance of vaccinating against deadly diseases. The pledges that leaders are making today will help Gavi save even more lives.¡±
When one of the reporters asked Bill Gates about the recent survey conducted by Yahoo and YouGov that stated that nearly 44 percent of Republicans feel Microsoft will be planting microchips through its vaccines, he finally broke his silence on the topic.
Bill Gates rubbishes conspiracy
Bill Gates said, ¡°In a way, it¡¯s so bizarre, you almost want to view it as something humorous, but I guess it¡¯s really not a humorous thing. I¡¯ve never been involved in any sort of microchip-type thing. It¡¯s almost hard to deny this stuff because it¡¯s so stupid or strange that to even repeat it almost seems to give it credibility.¡±
Speaking further on the COVID-19 vaccine microchip conspiracy theory, Gates added, ¡°If you don¡¯t get a broad uptake, then you wouldn¡¯t have the dramatic effect you want to have, meaning that the risk of reintroduction is so low that you can go back to having things like big sports events. The misinformation could hold us back at some point, but I wouldn¡¯t say that that¡¯s hurting us at this stage.¡±
