Microsoft, celebrating its 46th anniversary has shared images of the first-ever business cards of its aforementioned founders, showcasing the company¡¯s ¡®funky¡¯ side. The cards are from the time they leased their first office in 1976.
Microsoft recently marked its 46th anniversary. The tech giant known that¡¯s instrumental in revolutionising home computers (PC) with its easy-to-use and groundbreaking operating system was founded on April 4, 1975, by Bill Gates and Paul Allen.

And Microsoft, celebrating its 46th anniversary has shared images of the first-ever business cards of its aforementioned founders, showcasing the company¡¯s ¡®funky¡¯ side. The cards are from the time they leased their first office in 1976.
Bill Gates' retro vibe
The cards show the name and designation of Bill Gates (Willian H. Gates) & Paul Allen. The cards are also a blast from the past, with the design/aesthetics of the time as well as the Microsoft logo (designed by Simon Daniels) which exudes hints of retro, including the colour scheme, the typography, and other aesthetic elements.
Surprisingly, the designer of the card has left no space in accommodating the address between the borders, which would make current designers furious, but at the time, it seems like not many cared about it.

Bill Gates shared a number with Paul Allen
If you observe closely, you¡¯d notice that the number on the visiting card is the same for both the founders of the tech company -- (505)256-3600. The cards also show the address of Microsoft¡¯s first office -- 819 Two Park Central Tower, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
