COVID-19 Impact: 47 Percent People Don't Wear Pants While Working From Home
While we hate COVID-19 for forcing us to work from home, we sure do love the fact that we don¡¯t have to dress up and step out.
While we hate COVID-19 for forcing us to work from home, we sure do love the fact that we don¡¯t have to dress in formal clothes and step out.
We can work in our pyjamas, shorts, whereas some can feel a little notorious to not get out of their boxers, and in case you thought only a few might be indulging in this new habit, a survey reveals that the number could be a whole lot more.
This was revealed in a survey conducted by YouGov -- a research data analytics group from London The study reveals that around 47 percent Americans who participated in the survey revealed that they aren¡¯t really wearing legwear (this includes pants, skirts, shorts etc.) while working from home. However, 39 percent people do confess that they put slightly fancier clothes (from the waist up of course), before getting on a call.
The survey also reveals that men are more likely to skip wearing legwear as opposed to women -- three times more likely to be exact. The survey also tells us about the kind of efforts people take before coming in front of the camera, particularly the waist up.
The survey points out that around 54 percent of people comb/brush their hair before hitting ¡®start video¡¯ in a conference( this includes 70 percent, women and 40 percent men). 51 percent also revealed that they wash their face before coming in front of the camera. 50 percent of people brush their teeth before starting the call. 24 percent actually shave before going live.
It also reveals that 19 percent of people put on makeup for getting ready for the call. 29 percent of people also make sure that they¡¯re sitting in a well-lit condition to be visible clearly.
How do you prefer working from home? Are you a no-pants person too? In that case, just keep it to yourself, maybe nobody wants to know!
