Speaking at a Motostudent event in Spain, Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali confirmed the development highlighting the company¡¯s commitment to shift to an EV portfolio. A series of vehicles production is scheduled to begin soon.

Now don¡¯t think that Ducati is new to producing electric superbikes. In partnership with other companies, Ducati has come up with such offerings before. Apart from its Ducati Zero electric superbike concept, the company also recently unveiled its electric mountain bike - the Ducati Mig-RR.
Recently, the company CEO was also spotted riding an electric conversion Ducati Hypermotard with a Zero FX powertrain.
Ducati has been quite vocal about its EV plans over the years and the recent confirmation of a series production might make it one of the first players in the EV superbike market. Electric Motorcycle recently teased about its upcoming all-electric superbike with impressive range and top speed which, on papers, beats many existing IC engine superbikes as well. Harley-Davidson also came up with its first ever electric bike - LiveWire, marking a drastic shift from its production history. Energica Motor Company, Zero Motorcycle, Evoke Motorcycles and even TVS and Bajaj are some of the players working on EVs.
So as more and more players jump in the EV game, the future of vehicles on the face of the earth seems to be powered by electric drivetrains in any and all of the categories.
