Love him or hate him, you have to admire Elon Musk for his single-minded focus on this issue.
He's been warning the world about the side effects of unregulated AI for a while now. So much so that he drew criticism from Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, who called him to tone down the rhetoric a bit. Undeterred, Elon Musk fired back at Zuckerberg, stating that the Facebook founder had "limited" knowledge on the subject.

Reacting to news that AI had bested DOTA2 players, Musk tweeted a photo of a poster bearing the prophetic words "In the end, the machines will win."
Artificial Intelligence research is still in its infancy, but that doesn¡¯t mean we shouldn¡¯t be wary of their future capabilities and plan for the worst accordingly. At least, that¡¯s what Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk believes.
