Monetising Twitter blue ticks
As part of the plan, Musk wants to change how Twitter Blue operates. Currently, Twitter Blue is an optional $4.99 (Rs. 411) a month subscription that offers additional features. Now, Musk wants to convert it into a more expensive subscription that also verifies users, The Verge reported.
Twitter could charge as much as $19.99 (Rs. 1,648) for the new Twitter Blue subscription. Verified users would have 90 days to subscribe to Twitter Blue or to lose their verified status. We have a feeling that this move might backfire, but Musk is looking for quick ways to generate revenue for Twitter.
