Man Spends Rs 6 Lakh Saved For Honeymoon On A Gaming PC Without Telling Fiance
The struggle to have the best gaming PC has led to a man secretly spending all of their savings, without informing the fiance.
Getting a good gaming PC is a dream for many. And most aspire to have the best of the best components in their machines.
However, not many can afford to do so. But that hasn¡¯t stopped this Redditor¡¯s fiance who went ahead and spent nearly $8,000 that they had saved for their honeymoon, on a gaming PC without informing her.
The post was spotted in R/relationship_advice subreddit and the entire post is rather and leaves you in all kinds of complex emotions. It all started when his friend got a gaming PC. Initially, she refused, claiming that they already had laptops however he repeatedly nagged her into forcing her to finally agree.
However, when the components started to come, along with a PC, a gaming chair, a gaming desk, she realised something isn¡¯t right. When she asked him at night how much did the system really cost, he hesitated to reveal it in the beginning but eventually revealed that it was the entire savings of nearly $8,000 (which is approximately around Rs 6 lakhs) for their honeymoon which they both had saved over the past few months. When she showed her disappointment for this action, he said that he¡¯ll earn it all back, but things took a worse turn from there.
He got completely engrossed in games all day all night, barely working and completely losing sleep schedules. He barely even spoke to his fiance and only interacted when he was hungry. In her words, he¡¯s been completely unavailable and all he¡¯s been doing is gaming. She¡¯s seeking help from fellow Redditors on ways to tackle this situation.
Sure most of us are feeling whether this really is true or just a fun-to-read post. However, still many Redditors are trying to help her in the comments and understand how can the cost of the PC go so high!
Does gaming PC really cost that much?
When you look at the price of current components, even the best of the best hardware for performance, a good gaming PC that can run maxed out on all settings can be built for around two to three lakhs -- including an RTX 2080Ti or the most powerful Intel or AMD CPU. However, chances are that he might have picked multiple monitors with 4K resolution that could have contributed to the final cost.
Also, some custom-built PCs are already overpriced as they add their labour cost, as opposed to building the pc yourself (which this guy clearly didn¡¯t do, according to the post).
The comments section is speculating the hardware chosen along with comments on how to deal with a partner who can be so selfish to behave this way. Regardless, the main question remains: Can it run Crysis?
