Huawei even goes so far as to called the Mate X the "fastest 5G smartphone". It has an 8-inch (2480x2200) display when spread out in tablet mode that folds to become a 6.6-inch (1148x2480) display. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy Fold, which folds in on itself and has a separate exterior display, the Mate X folds outward, giving you a primary and secondary display in phone mode.
.@Huawei just showed off the Mate X, world's 1st foldable #5G smartphone. It has a patented hinge with 100 parts, and has Leica camera (just like Mate 20 Pro). It will be available later this year at €2,299! #MWC2019 #MWC19 #MateX #HuaweiMateX pic.twitter.com/Ev831Lk9FD

At the launch event, Huawei said people should expect four cameras on the Mate X, though the demo unit on display only had three. They've not specified what specs those cameras have either.
It is also a pretty thin device, just 11mm thick when folded, and 5.4 mm when unfolded. There is however a camera bump for the rear shooter.
Huawei has used the extra space to give the device a large 4500mAh battery. Additionally, there's also a fingerprint scanner on the side, doubling as a power button.
