Humans Will Be On Mars In Just Over Five Years, Says Elon Musk In ClubHouse

In case you¡¯ve been on Twitter recently, ClubHouse is all the craze. In case you didn¡¯t know, it's a platform where strangers around the world connect and have conversations about the topics they¡¯re interested in through their voice.

The app is only on iOS for now and entry to the app is through an invite-only system for now. However, recently Elon Musk joined the platform and in a conversation in one of the rooms he shed light on future Mars missions, aliens and their existence in our universe and his newest product, Neuralink and how far they¡¯re from being launched and saving lives.

SpaceX Mars mission

When asked about SpaceX and its endeavours to touch Mars, Musk revealed that he intends to get to the red planet in about 5.5 years. He even went ahead and revealed that this won¡¯t be a journey that anyone will be able to make as it takes just six months to get to Mars alone.

However, he did mention that he¡¯s working to bring this down to just one month in the future. Moreover, Musk also revealed that travelling to Mars will be possible once every two years since every two Years Mars is on the other side of the Sun.

Aliens

When asked about Aliens and other life in the universe, Elon Musk revealed that he hasn¡¯t really seen any conclusive evidence of aliens so far, but despite this, he doesn¡¯t mean that it¡¯s not possible in future at all. He even mocked the blurry images of alien sightings, stating that there should be somewhat clearer photos.

Musk said, ¡°When people say that there are sightings of aliens, I say, ¡®Listen, man, the resolution of the picture needs to be at least 7/11 ATM good, okay? We can¡¯t have that Loch Ness monster b*llsh*t. It¡¯s like, c¡¯mon, is that like a 500-megapixel camera or what? What are you talking about? Where¡¯d you find that thing? It¡¯s got to be at least like an iPhone 6-level camera.¡±

Neuralink

Elon Musk also shed some light on its neural implant company Neuralink where he revealed that they¡¯re planning on showcasing a set of new videos highlighting the progress of the technology in a month or so.

They¡¯ve developed multiple layers including limbic, cortex and digital where he¡¯s revealed that the bandwidth between cortex and digital is slower which they¡¯re working to fix. He also revealed that they¡¯ve got one of the best monkey facilities for testing out Neuralink¡¯s capabilities. Currently, they¡¯ve wired monkeys with the Neuralink implants where they play video games with their minds. He also shared that they¡¯d allow early applications for people suffering from brain injury and later being available to all as it progresses.

Briefly, Musk spoke about cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and the newly skyrocketing Dogecoin and how he should have invested in it eight years ago. He also shared immense support for Bitcoin and said that it¡¯s on the verge of being widely accepted in the financial world.

However, looking at Dogecoin¡¯s growth, he did say that he¡¯d be pretty amused if its DOGE which becomes Earth¡¯s currency in future.
