The platform also acted as a directory during the peak of Covid-19 in the summer of 2021.
In many ways, 2021 was a big year for Big Tech - the pandemic pushed us deeper into digital dependency and calls for regulation of platforms like Twitter grew louder globally.
Now, Twitter has revealed what made the most waves on its platform over the course of 2021.

This, it turns out, is the most retweeted Tweet on Indian Twitter in 2021 with over 114,000 retweets. It was also the most quoted Tweet in India this year. AS of now, the Tweet has been quoted almost 22,000 times.
