There are two different highlights here - a vertical quad camera setup and a 64 MP camera lens from Samsung. The first one will be offered across its three series - Realme, Realme Pro and Realme X. The 64 MP lens, however, will be limited to only a few models, which the company hasn't mentioned yet. ¡°At least one¡± is what Realme CEO Madhav Sheth said at the event.
We checked out the model with both the features. In essence, the four lenses on the setup include -
A 64 MP Samsung ISOCELL GW1 lens
A super macro lens with a 4cm focus
A 119-degree super wide lens
And a mono portrait lens for bokkeh effect

Now Realme has not revealed any more information about the smartphones for now. It did, however, talk about its 64 MP sensor at length. There is a ¡®Tetracell¡¯ technology at play within the sensor. As can be deduced from the word, it uses four pixels in the place of one, essentially merging four neighbouring pixels together to get brighter, vivid details.
There is also a Smart ISO technology used here. Function - automatically controlling low and high ISOs for lesser noise in the final image under any lighting conditions.

All in all, the 64MP lens is an impressive imaging technology by Samsung. It is a new one, no less and just might be the new trend in the industry. Having it in a Realme phone would certainly give the company an edge over the competition. Jackpot - if it prices it right.
An embargo around the devices prevents us from sharing our experiences or anything more about the smartphones in general. The company, however, has announced that it will be launching one of the devices before Diwali this year, meaning if you would like to have one or both of these features, there is not a long wait!
We will also be sharing a first look of the camera setup soon. To stay updated on that, like our IndiaTimes FB page here.
