Mother Never Forgets: Elon Musk's Mom Fondly Remembers His Master Plan For Tesla From 2006
Recently, he tweeted about a Tesla blog he wrote around 14 years ago that listed his ¡®Master Plan¡¯ in the year 2006. The tweet even reminded his mother of the plans that were laid down by his son to make the world a better place.
We all know Elon Musk as this revolutionary entrepreneur that has made electric cars seem cool -- something that once was thought impossible -- come true.
Recently, Elon Musk tweeted about a Tesla blog he wrote around 14 years ago that listed his ¡®Master Plan¡¯ in the year 2006.
The tweet even reminded his mother of the plans that were laid down by his son for Tesla in order to save the planet.
When you look at Tesla¡¯s trajectory, it has managed to somewhat hit all of these points in the master plan.
His first electric car was a sports car called Tesla Roadster (priced at around $100,000 or Rs 72 lakh) which didn¡¯t get the positive traction that Elon was expecting, but it sure did change the way the world saw electric cars.
Success and recognition came after the launch of Model S, (starting at around $80,000 or Rs 58 lakh)with its insanely fast launch control mode and autopilot features, followed by the slightly more expensive Model X with doors like a bird¡¯s wings starting at $84,990 (or Rs 61 lakh).
The more affordable Tesla came in 2017 with the Model 3 that although wasn¡¯t cheap like a petrol car (starting at $39,990 or roughly Rs 29 lakhs), but it was still a pretty affordable electric car with cool features from its flagship, like the auto-pilot, insanely fast launch control etc.
While working on these electric cars, Tesla has also been working on harnessing solar energy for powering homes with Tesla Solar grids called Powerwalls, to help homes generate electricity from renewable energy.
Even though we are still waiting for an ¡®even more affordable¡¯ car, from his ¡®master plan¡¯ he seems on the right trajectory so far.
