Mozilla Is Offering $2 Million To Anyone Who Can Decentralise The Internet
Following the plot of the hit TV series ¡®The Silicon Valley¡¯, where Richard Hendricks, the CEO of Pied Piper put forwards a plan for ¡®decentralising¡¯ the internet, Mozilla, the maker of Firefox has come up with the same idea that won¡¯t break the internet alone, but would create a new one.
Mozilla is offering $2 million to anybody who comes up with an idea of new solutions and utilising the existing ones to help people enjoy a better connectivity.
Mozilla along with National Science Foundation are calling for ideas that would decentralise the net. The internet initially was a decentralised property, however today it only reaches some and not to many, majority of a population. And thus to make it affordable for one and all, the ideas are welcomed by the both organisations.
