PM Modi Says COVID-19 Vaccine Could Be Out In Few Weeks, Doctors Will Get It First
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that India will not have to wait for long for the Covid-19 vaccine. The process of administering the vaccine to preferred groups will be started as soon as the scientists producing the vaccine give it a go ahead.
India will not have to wait for long for the Covid-19 vaccine, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday.

Chairing an all party meeting, the PM addressed those digitally present upon the state of Coronavirus spread in India. He stated that the Covid-19 vaccine will first be administered to the healthcare and frontline workers along with those old and susceptible to other diseases.
¡°It is being believed that the vaccine for Covid-19 will be ready within the next few weeks,¡± he said, citing knowledge of the experts he has been in touch with. ¡°As soon as scientists approve of the vaccine, the process of administering the vaccine will be started in India.¡±
He further addressed the question of availability of the vaccine once it is produced. ¡°Preference will be given to the healthcare workers treating Covid-19 patients, frontline
workers and the old who are suffering from other illnesses,¡± he said.
Regarding the distribution of vaccine in India upon its availability, PM Modi assured ¡°We have one of the best networks of vaccination in India, this will come to good use when we distribute COVID-19 vaccine.¡± He further mentioned that the centre is in touch with state governments to find more effective solutions to this.
The Prime Minister also suggested that the people of India keep a track on the development of the Covid-19 vaccine, its stock and availability through the CoWin-20 app.
