Police Finally Arrest Guy Who Delivered Stone In A Box To Customer Instead Of Rs 10,000 Phone
Kshitij Chaudhary had ordered a mobile phone from anonline shopping website few weeks back. But couple of days after placing the order he cancelled the mobile phone request he claims. Despite his cancellation of the order just a day later the accused Harmit Mirchandani reached his home with a parcel. He allegedly got a box of the online retailer and delivered it with a stone inside.
In the past, we've heard instances of online shoppers being delivered stones or soaps instead of products they actually ordered. Finally, we have a story where the bad guy behind such an episode is apprehended by the good guys.
A call centre employee was arrested by the cyber cell of Vadodara city police for cheating a resident of Fatehpura by delivering him a stone instead of a mobile phone that he had ordered online.
Harmit Mirchandani, the accused
According to reports, complainant Kshitij Chaudhary had ordered a mobile phone from an online shopping website few weeks back. But couple of days after placing the order, he cancelled the mobile phone request, he claims.
Despite his cancellation of the order, just a day later the accused, Harmit Mirchandani, reached his home with a parcel.
Chaudhary refused to accept the parcel as he had cancelled the order, but Mirchandani told him that the order had been placed and he would have to accept the parcel.

Mirchandani left Chaudhary¡¯s house after receiving Rs 10,000 cash as payment for the package. When Chaudhary opened the package, he found a stone inside instead of a mobile phone.
Chaudhary contacted the online retailer and approached the cybercrime cell with a complaint. Police found out that Mirchandani, who works in the call centre managing the company¡¯s customer service, learnt about Chaudhary¡¯s order cancellation.
To make a quick buck, Mirchandani allegedly got a box of the online retailer and delivered it with a stone inside.
