Reliance Jio Is Spreading Festive Cheer, Offers Rs 3,300 Cashback On Minimum Rs 399 Recharge
The minimum recharge plan's validity has been reduced, to persuade customers to sign up for higher tariff recharges.
Reliance Jio is at it again, offering even greater incentives for customers to sign up for larger data plans. The company has now increased its Rs 2,599 cashback offer, for recharges worth Rs 399 and above, to Rs 3,300.
Launched as a Christmas bonus offer, Jio says that recharges of Rs 399 and above could net subscribers vouchers of up to Rs 400, Rs 300 instant cashback to the mobile wallets, as well as discount coupons worth Rs 2,600 from online marketplaces.
To snatch up the new offer¡¯s rewards, all you have to do is recharge your Jio account before January 15. However, the Rs 399 plan¡¯s validity has also been lowered from 80 to 74 days. Instead, the new Rs 459 recharge will offer you 80 days validity.
In fact, other telecom operators like Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular, and Vodafone India have also begun offering higher-priced plans with more cashback opportunities. Analysts say the move is an attempt to improve the average revenue per user (ARPU) rate, previously in the Rs 250 - 260 range. Of course, the best way to do that is with added incentives.
This because the ARPU has fallen 40 percent since September last year, when Reliance Jio first began offering its data services for free, kicking off a major telco price war in the process.
