According to Sammobile sources, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will use the Exynos 2500 processor in most regions, including India and South Korea. This is the first time an Exynos processor will be used in a Galaxy Z series phone.

It has the model number S5E9955 and replaces last year's Exynos 2400 (S5E9945) processor, which was utilized in the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ in most countries worldwide. The Exynos 2500 is a 3nm chip built by Samsung's in-house chip company, System LSI, and manufactured using Samsung Foundry's second-generation 3nm production node.

According to prior reports, it has a 10-core CPU, an Xclipse 950 GPU (based on the AMD RDNA 3.5 architecture), and 16MB of L3 cache. Samsung often employs Exynos CPUs in its high-end phones in most countries, with the exception of Canada, China, and the United States. It will be the same with the Galaxy Z Flip 7.

Samsung could continue with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for the Chinese and North American markets. The Exynos 2500 may be a better option for thin phones like the Galaxy Z Flip 7, while the Snapdragon 8 Elite gets hot in ultra-thin phones like the Galaxy S25 Edge.
