Sony PS5 Will Be '100 Times' Better Than PS4, With Faster Game Load And Performance
Sony claims the PS5 will have 100 times faster processing speed than older PS4.
Sony is all set to bring in the next iteration of its gaming console - the PlayStation 5, which will soon unleash the future of gaming upon us.
While much information has been released about PS5, a new set of updates inform that the PlayStation 5 might just be a 100 hundred times better than the PS4.
That is through its processing prowess. In a brief of a corporate strategy meeting, a slide titled ¡°Evolution of ¡®Speed¡¯ in the Next Gen Console¡± highlights the enormous processing jump. As mentioned in the slide, Sony expects to reach processing speeds that are 100 times faster than PS4 with the PS5.
Among other measures, Sony plans to do this with a ¡°custom©\designed high speed SSD¡±. The resulting experience would involve much shorter game load times and faster gaming in ¡°immense game worlds.¡±
Just how would the SSD work or what other measures will be employed has not been specified by the company yet.
It would not really be surprising for the PS5 to have such a huge processing upgrade over its predecessor. With an increasing anticipation since the PS4 launch in 2013, gaming technology has advanced to a whole new level and PS5 can be expected to feature most of it.
The presentation talked about other upgrades on the PS5 too. Haptic feedback on the DualSense controller, 3D audio on the PS5 and much in-depth about the business strategies of Sony Group Corporation is mentioned in the brief.
As for the DualSense controller, we know that it will come in a refreshing new look, matching with that of the console itself. Other upgrades would include a built in microphone, LED lighting zone in the front, contoured grips as well as an advanced haptic hardware that will deliver dynamic feedback.
It will be fun to see how Sony achieves the milestone it has set for itself. After all, apart from the technical upgrades, PS5 will be all about having fun. That being said, it should be noted that there are different ways of comparing such processing speeds and so 100X is more of a relative term. Then again, raw processing power doesn¡¯t proportionally increase the in-game performance.
