This Amazing Lightning From Taal Volcano Eruption Shows Nature In All Its Dangerous Avatar
Taal Volcano in the Philipines erupted that resulted in multiple earthquakes and the entire city of Manila to be engulfed in clouds of ash. The government was already prepared for the eruptions and evacuated over 23,000 people with the number expected to rise as high as 200,000.

Recently, Taal Volcano in the Philipines erupted that resulted in multiple earthquakes and the entire city of Manila to be engulfed in clouds of ash. The government was already prepared for the eruptions and evacuated over 23,000 people with the number expected to rise as high as 200,000.
The eruption was magmatic in nature and is expected to get more violent with a severe destructive blast, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology. It has been regarded as an Alert 4 volcano. Authorities have already asked for the evacuation of areas falling under a 14-kilometre perimeter from the volcano.
With hazardous ash in the air. citizens of Manila have been warned to use masks whenever they step out, to prevent them from breathing issues.

Taal has been regarded as one of the deadliest volcanoes in the Philipines, and as per records from the past, it has claimed over 6000 lives.
In a press conference, Phivolcs volcano monitoring division chief Antonia Bornas stated, ¡°We can¡¯t say how strong the eruption will be, it may be as strong or stronger than historical precedents.¡±
Images and videos shared by Twitter user @joshibob_ reveal the volcano in all its glory. Images of such smoke and lightning is something we¡¯ve often seen in sci-fi movies when some alien enters Earth. However, at Taal, that obviously isn¡¯t the case.

The smoke rising from the magma consists of volcanic ash. These fragments when collide with each other, result in the generation of static and thus the beautiful lightning that you see in the image above. This phenomenon called volcanic lightning.
While it does look scary, and the conditions in Taal are far from safe, nature has its way of putting a show, and it truly is a sight to behold.
