The Beatles To Release New Song Created With Artificial Intelligence: Paul McCartney
According to Paul McCartney, the Beatles will release a new song this year and we have artificial intelligence to thank (or to blame, depending on how you see it)
The Beatles are back! Before you get your hopes up, the living band members are not reuniting for a new song. Instead, a new Beatles song will be released this year all thanks to artificial intelligence.
According to Paul McCartney, the Beatles will release a new song this year and we have artificial intelligence to thank (or to blame, depending on how you see it). Many AI tools are now able to mimic the voices of musicians. A recent clip that copied Drake's voice went viral on social media and was recently scrubbed off the internet after Drake said he hadn't given permission for the same. On the other end of this spectrum are artists like Grimes, who are actively supporting the use of their voice in AI tools.
How are the Beatles returning?
Recently, Paul McCartney sat down with BBC Radio 4 and discussed the concerns surrounding artificial intelligence in the music industry. At the same time, he said that a new Beatles song created by AI is on its way.
"All of that is kind of scary, but exciting because it¡¯s the future. And we were able to use that kind of thing when Peter Jackson did the film ¡®Get Back,¡¯ where it was us making the Lady P album," McCartney said.

"And he [Jackson] was able to extricate John¡¯s voice from a ropey little bit of cassette. We had John¡¯s voice and a piano and he could separate them with AI. They tell the machine: ¡®That¡¯s the voice. This is a guitar. Lose the guitar.¡¯ So it has great uses," he added.
"When we came to make what will be the last Beatles record, it was a demo that John had that we worked on and we just finished up. It¡¯ll be released this year. We were able to take John¡¯s voice and get it pure through this AI. Then we could mix the record, as you would normally do. So it gives you some sort of leeway."

The audio was pulled from the cassette that was given to McCartney by the late John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono after he passed way. The demo tape was labelled "For Paul" and had numerous songs that were recorded shortly before Lennon's demise in 1980.
The song could be "Now and Then" that has existed on the internet as a demo for quite some time now.
