This 6-Year-Old Earns Rs 70 Crore A Year Just Playing With His Toys On YouTube
Ryan ToyReviews even made it to the top 10 list of highest paid celebrities on the site.
Ryan is the 6-year-old host of a YouTube channel called ¡®Ryan ToysReview¡¯, where he just plays with and comments on toys that he likes. Oh, and he¡¯s also a multimillionaire.
Ryan ToysReview is run by the kid¡¯s parents, and generated a cool $11 million in revenue this year, according to Forbes. That puts the channel in a tie with comedy brand Smosh on the list of the site¡¯s top earning celebrities, earning approximately $500,000 more than Indian YouTube comedian Lilly Singh (IISuperwomanII).
A few channels first began uploading toy videos on YouTube in 2013, something Ryan¡¯s parents say he¡¯s enjoyed watching since 2015. Eventually, according to The Verge, he asked his parents why he wasn¡¯t in videos if other kids could make their own. And that¡¯s pretty much how the channel began. Ryan¡¯s parents have since then shot and produced videos frequently for the channel, occasionally even uploading videos daily.
Progress was slow at first, until a video in July 2015 called ¡°GIANT EGG SURPRISE OPENING¡±. The video racked up views at an insane rate, also bringing in subscribers to the channel. The egg surprise video now has well over 800 million views.
Part of the reason for that, is the channel reviews new toys for children, as well as demonstrating home science experiments on occasion. But the bigger draw is likely 6-year-old Ryan himself, who¡¯s always enthusiastically commenting on camera, and just all around having fun. That shows in Ryan ToyReviews¡¯ over 10 million subscriber count.
Here¡¯s to more fun days playing with your toys Ryan.
