This Parrot Has "Fallen In Love" With Amazon's Alexa And Uses It To Order Treats Online
Digital assistants have really made our lives a lot easier. We use them all the time to order stuff online, ask random questions, make calculations, and play our music. Apparently though, we¡¯re not the only creatures to appreciate them.

A parrot in UK seems to have "fallen in love" with his owner's Amazon Echo device, and the Alexa digital assistant that is its core. Rocco, as he's named, has supposedly been using the Echo to order treats and play music with Alexa.
Rocco is an African grey parrot that was found abandoned by its parents in the wild earlier this year. He was subsequently taken in by the National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT), from where staff member Marion Wischnewski adopted him.
She says he's always been a very mischievous bird. Having picked up a few swear words, he bandies them about constantly, and regularly throws his water bowl around. He was also quick to strike up a strange friendship with Alexa, using it to order treats like strawberries, watermelon, raisins, and ice cream. Although, for some reason, he's also asked for a kite, a kettle, and light bulbs.
Wischnewski says Rocco and Alexa chatter away to each other throughout the day. And every time he goes on a spending spree, she has to check her Amazon shopping list and cancel all the extra stuff.
What's very cute though is how Rocco keeps himself entertained. He tells Alexa to play his favourite music, rock apparently, and has a blast bobbing his head to it. Sometimes though, Wischnewski says, she comes home to him grooving to slow romantic numbers too.
Either way, it looks like Rocco has a friend for life, and one that won't ever be too busy to listen to him.
