Twitter Website Down A Day Before Musk Conducts Mass Layoffs In The Company

People weren¡¯t able to log into Twitter on Friday morning via their browsers, with the site showing an error.

At the time of writing this, the issue still hadn't been fixed. The iOS App of Twitter seems to be working just fine, the problem seems to be surrounding the website primarily from the looks of it.

A majority of these reports have come from users on Twitter web users. Although a few app users have also reported this issue. Across India, the issue is being experienced by major metros of the nation, including Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, and Bengaluru.
What¡¯s also surprising is that this issue surfaced on the day the mass layoffs were expected to commence in the company, following the takeover by Elon Musk. This is according to an unsigned internal memo seen by The Verge, indicating to the employees that the layoffs were soon to commence.
Employees will be sent an email by 9:00 AM PST on November 4, which is around 9:30 PM IST which will reveal whether they've been able to keep their jobs or if they've been sacked. The internal memo also highlighted that employee badge access to Twitter¡¯s offices will be ceased temporarily.
Musk is expected to lay off around half of Twitter¡¯s around 7,500 workforce.
