Ugly iPhone Leak Confirmed: 2019's Three New iPhones May Well Be The Most Hideous Ever

With July here, we're just a few months away from the unveiling of the most awaited smartphones of 2019- the iPhone XI and XI Max.

The leaks in the past have given us a rough idea of what we should be expecting from the upcoming Apple flagship, including a rather large and hideous triple camera setup housed in a square unit, at the back.

The newest CAD renders (leaked by Slashleaks) somewhat support this notion, while revealing some key features of the iPhone XI. The CAD renders reveal specifications for the 3 iPhones- iPhone XI, iPhone XI Max and iPhone XIR.

iPhone XI

According to the leaks, the iPhone XI seems to retain the 5.8-inch OLED Retina display. The display will also get the ginormous notch that houses the Face ID sensors and the front camera. The design from the front and the sides doesn't seem to have changed much either. It's got the same curvy edges all-around. Also, the design renders reveal that Apple might stick around with the lightning port a wee-bit longer than expected. A headphone jack is missing on the device too, although it isn't very surprising considering they've been doing this for almost 3 years now.

While the front of the smartphone looks identical, it's the rear that has received the biggest overhaul in the iPhone's history. The CAD renders reveal the hideous-looking triple-camera setup at the back. According to the leaks, it seems like Apple might be going with three 12-megapixel sensors with a standard-wide lens, a secondary ultra-wide lens and tertiary telephoto lens.

iPhone XI Max

The only thing that'll differ between the iPhone XI and the XI Max will be the display size and the battery. The CAD renders reveal that Apple's going with a 6.5-inch OLED Retina display, similar to last year's XS Max. The device will retain all the goodies that were seen on the iPhone XI, including the huge camera setup at the back. There is no information on the battery as of now.

iPhone XIR

Last year, iPhone XR won many hearts with its great battery life and a snappy experience, all in a relatively affordable package. According to the CAD renders, this year's iPhone XIR also seems to be rocking a 6.1-inch display, although it is unclear if it would still be using a Retina LCD display or an OLED. Here too the device looks identical to the XR from the front, but when you flip to the back, you'll notice the device holds a dual-camera setup at the back, as opposed to the single camera setup that we've seen before. chances are that Apple could fit in iPhone Xs's dual cameras here to bump up the camera performance.

Apple seems to have a fine line of smartphones planned for this year. As always, we'd recommend you take these rumours with a pinch of salt. However, if this were to surely come true, we'd definitely like to see how they'd stack up against the upcoming Pixel 4.
