Move along WhatsApp, there's a new sheriff in town. Telegram has now rolled out a feature that allows it to have up to 1,000 people to join via group video calls.

This new rollout is quite surprising, considering it just rolled out the group video call feature in June this year. The new update will still cap the number of participants/ speakers at 30, the remaining 970 can however still sign in to watch.
Telegram, at the time of rolling out the group video call feature had hinted that it always planned on increasing the number of people who would join a group call and as per its recent announcement, it revealed that it¡¯s working on extending the limit of 1,000 participants furthermore.
The new feature list also includes the ability to share their screen with sound on 1-on-1 video calls. Moreover now users can set their message to auto-delete after one month instead of within a day or a week like older options allowed.
Along with this, Telegram has updated the media editor that allows you to make the brush width smaller upon zooming in, allowing users to draw finer details on photos and videos. Additional features include better password reset options.

For people who love sending emojis, the app now has got a slew of cool animated emojis that can express your emotion with a greater impact.
Telegram on Android also receives the ability to change playback speeds from 0.5x, 1.5x and 2x playback speeds as well as new animations that¡¯ll appear while sending messages.

iOS update on the other hand gets access to a new in-app camera that can make use of iPhone¡¯s zoom lenses as well as forward messages to multiple recipients using the ¡®Select¡¯ button on the top right.
